Hair cut and Fire Trucks

Grandma Marlene gave Jake a hair cut on Friday night. He was really in need of one and HATES to get his hair cut. After we got his hair cut Grandpa Ron took him to see the fire trucks to calm him down. Now we just have to be really careful not to let his head get sunburned.

My Pine Wood Derby Car

Jake and Daddy make a pinewood derby car for the canton car show (grandpa helped too). They had fun working on it together. You know your daddy is a painter when you have to "mix" all kinds of colors just to get the right purple. We weren't able to race it this year because it was the races were right during our nap time. Jake enjoyed a busy weekend of car activities. Friday was a cruise night in Hurley. Saturnday night was cruise night in Canton and Sunday afternoon we went to the car show for a little while.

Happy 4th of July

We had a quite 4th of July at home. Saturday night we went to a party to see some friends, went to cruise night and had a camp fire at home. Sunday we attempted to get Jake's 2 year pictures taken but he hates the picture studio and tried to run away. Monday we watched Annie finish the road race, went to the parade, and the car show. You can see Jake was a little under the weather all weekend. He just laid on Grandpa's lap at the parade. He could have cared less about the candy but liked the tractors and the fire trucks. I forgot the camera most of the weekend so we only have a few pictures. The last picture saying goodbye to his buddy. Jake had a great time playing with Lou and wondered where he was on Tuesday night when we stopped at Grandma's house.
